MOBILIZATION

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.1       GENERAL

A. Mobilization shall include the obtaining of all permits; moving onto the site of all plant and equipment; furnishing and erecting plants, temporary buildings, and other construction facilities; and implementing security requirements; all as required for the proper performance and completion of the work.  Mobilization shall include the following principal items:

1. Moving on to the site of the Contractor's plant and equipment required for first month operations.

2.          Installing temporary construction power, wiring, and lighting facilities.

3.          Establishing fire protection system.

4.          Developing construction water supply.

5.          Providing field off ice trailers for the Contractor.

6.          Providing all on-site communication facilities, including telephones.

7.          Providing on-site sanitary facilities and potable water facilities.

8.          Arranging for and erection of Contractor's work and storage yard.

9. Constructing and implementing security features and requirements complying with Section 01520.

10.        Obtaining all required permits.

11.        Having all OSHA required notices and establishment of safety programs.

12.        Having the Contractor's superintendent at the job site full time.

13.        Submitting initial submittals.

1.2       PAYMENT FOR MOBILIZATION

A. The Contractor's attention is directed to the condition that no payment for mobilization, or any part thereof will be approved for payment under the Contract until all mobilization items listed above have been completed as specified.
