1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A. The mixers will be used to mix the contents of the Fermentation Basins, as shown on the Drawings (Group 80).

1.3 DESIGN REQUIREMENT

A. General Requirements:
1. Basin Dimensions:
a. Length, ft: 72.0.
b. Width, ft: 40.0.
c. Side wall height, ft: 19.0.
d. Side water depth, ft: 15.0.
e. Volume, gal: 323,100.
2. Basin contents: Return Activated Sludge.
3. Solids concentration: 0.75 – 1.25%.
4. Mixer Horsepower: 3.5 HP.
5. Propeller Speed, rpm: 122.
6. Prop diameter, inches: 47.25.

B. Performance Requirements:
1. Maintain uniformly mixed tank contents during operation.
