1. Design to collect dewatered sludge cake from its respective filter presses and convey to the inlet of Cake Solids Conveyor No. 3 or 4 as shown on the Drawings.

4. Material Density, (lbs/cu ft): 60.
5. Maximum filling factor for each conveyor at maximum loading: 5030%.
6. Minimum flight outside screw diameter, inches: 12.44".

2.6 ACCESSORIES

A. Inlet Hoppers from Belt Filter Presses
1. Provide sludge cake inlet hoppers to collect sludge cake dropping from each belt filter press discharge into the respective shaftless screw conveyor.
2. Design hopper to prevent the splattering of sludge around inlet area.
3. Provide gasketed access covers as needed for servicing of respective belt filter press, including the rollers and belts.
4. Fasten the hopper to the shaftless screw conveyor and access covers with bolts to secure the access panels and hopper, and for easy removal and disassembly.
5. The inside surface of the hopper shall be capable of being washed down from above.
6. Support the inlet hoppers from the shaftless screw conveyors.
7. The hoppers shall not inhibit the normal operation of the belt filter press.
