DETAILED PUMP SPECIFICATION MIXED LIQUOR RECYCLE PUMPS


PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SECTION INCLUDES

A. Mixed Liquor Recycle Pumps:
1. Mixed Liquor Recycle Pump No. 1: P-3-1-5.
2. Mixed Liquor Recycle Pump No. 2: P-3-2-5.
3. Mixed Liquor Recycle Pump No. 3: P-3-3-5.

1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A. The pumps will be used to transfer mixed liquor from the end of the aerobic zone of the aeration basins to the anoxic selectors.

1.3 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

A. General Requirements:
1. Tank Dimensions:
a. Length, ft: 154.
b. Width, ft: 40.
c. Sidewater Depth, ft: 16.
2. Liquid Pumped: Mixed Liquor
a. Solids content: 0.3 to 0.5%.
b. Specific Gravity: 1.0.
c. Maximum liquid temperature: 80° F.
3. Pump orientation: Horizontal.
4. Motor Size: 8.3 HP.

B. Hydraulic Requirements:
1. Maximum Design Flow:
a. Flow, gpm: 8,100.
b. TDH, feet: 2.1.
2. Minimum Design Flow:
a. Flow, gpm: 4,100.
b. TDH, feet: 1.2.
