PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SECTION INCLUDES

A. Denitrified RAS Pumps:
1. Denitrified RAS Pump No. 1: P-3-8-5.
2. Denitrified RAS Pump No. 2: P-3-8-6.

1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A. The pumps will be used to transfer denitrified return activated sludge from RAS Denitrification Tank to the Aeration Tank influent splitter.

1.3 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

A. General Requirements:
1. Tank Dimensions:
a. Length, ft: 37.75.
b. Width, ft: 40.
c. Sidewater Depth, ft: 16.
2. Liquid Pumped: Return Activated Sludge.
3. Specific Gravity: 1.0.
4. Maximum liquid temperature: 80° F.
5. Solids Content: 0.5 to 1.25%.
6. Pump orientation: Horizontal.
7. Motor Size: 4 HP.

B. Hydraulic Requirements:
1. Maximum Design Flow:
a. Flow, gpm: 3,100.
b. TDH, feet: 2.0
2. Minimum Design Flow:
a. Flow, gpm: 2,800.
b. TDH, feet: 1.8
