1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A. The mixers will be used to mix the contents of the aeration basin anaerobic and anoxic selectors, as shown on the Drawings (Group 30).

1.3 DESIGN REQUIREMENT

A. General Requirements:
1. Selector Dimensions:
a. Length, ft: 40.
b. Width, ft: 37.75.
c. Side wall height, ft: 19.0.
d. Side water depth, ft: 16.
e. Volume, gal: 180,700.
2. Tank contents: Anaerobic or Anoxic Mixed Liquor.
3. Solids concentration: 0.3 – 5%.
4. Mixer Horsepower: 3.5 HP.
5. Propeller Speed, rpm: 106.
6. Prop diameter, inches: 47.25.

B. Performance Requirements:
1. Maintain uniformly mixed tank contents during operation.
2. The mixers shall be capable of intermittent operation, and shall be capable of resuspending solids that have settled to the bottom of the selectors during off periods.
